Very Official Looking Picture Of The S6 Has Leaked

This year’s Galaxy S6 is probably one of the worst kept secrets in recent tech history.  Not only have leaksters been actively showing off the device but Samsung’s partnering carriers have even began teasing the upcoming phone, although, the latter have done so in more controlled manner…well that is until now.

The contest photo you see above was allegedly leaked by a Sprint employee and unlike previous leaks, this one doesn’t leave much for the imagination.  What you see here are two variants of the Galaxy S6, the original and the Edge version.  As previously leaks and reports have suggested, the Edge device will have an Edge display on both sides of the device unlike the Note Edge which only featured one Edge display.

Speaking of the Edge display, the Edge portions on the Galaxy S6 Edge appear to be much smaller than the one found on the Note Edge.  Not only are they smaller but they appear to simply be an extension of the main display whereas the Note Edge’s side display worked independently of the primary display.  I don’t know what this means in terms of functionality but I’m sure Samsung will give us all the details soon.

Last but not least, this latest teaser may be giving us an indication as to when Samsung will be launching this device.  In the bottom right of the teaser you see a small clause reading “No purchase necessary.  Offer ends 3/26/15.”  There’s a good chance that this contest is only going to run until the launch which means that we could indeed see a launch at the end of March.  While this is definitely speculation, previous reports have hinted at a end of March launch.
