Multiple Nexuses On The Way

Yesterday we found out that there could be a new Galaxy Nexus coming along soon.  But that Nexus might not be on it’s own.  According to another leak, there could possibly be at least three Nexuses’ (Nexi?) coming down the pipes this November.

The leak came courtesy of NTT DoCoMo in Japan.  According to their leak of their upcoming winter devices, there are at least three Nexus devices coming to them.  The Samsung Galaxy Nexus II, the LG Optimus Nexus, and the Sony Xperia Nexus.

Again this further supports the rumour that there will be 5 devices released this year.  The five could either be the Nexus 7, Nexus Q, and the three aforementioned phones OR it could mean that there are two other carriers that will also be bringing some Nexus devices to the table (maybe HTC and Motorola?).

I sure hope this rumour pans out to be true (although I don’t want that Samsung Galaxy Nexus II if the previous rumour is true).  I’d love to see how these other manufacturers do Nexus devices.  I’m particularly intrigued with HTC and Sony.  I loved the original Nexus One.  It had it’s limitations for sure but it’s still to this day one of my favourite handsets.  When the One series came out it reminded me a lot of the Nexus One and immediately I began dreaming of what stock Android would be like on one of those beasts.

The other Nexus I’d really like to see happen is an Xperia Nexus.  As you all know I’ve always loved the styling of the Xperia phones.  Even when they used “cheap” plastic, the devices still had this sleek, elegant, high end look to me.  I’ve loved their latest set of phones, but the specs have always sucked and I was never really a fan of their UI.  So hopefully they up the specs and pair it with the beautiful vanilla UI.

November isn’t to far away so hopefully we’ll hear some announcements soon.
