LG Unveils A New 5.9-Inch LG G3 Phablet

I think it should be quite clear by now that 2024 is the year of the phablets. Samsung, Motorola, and Apple have all showed off their precious large-screened handsets so it’s only obvious that LG wants a piece of cake.

LG has announced a mid-ranged phablet called the G3 Screen and it has the same screen size as the Moto Nexus 6. However, this is LG’s first phone to use their own in-house SoC, the 8-core LG NUCLUN SoC with ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture. The NUCLUN is very similar to Samsung’s 8-core Exynos 5 series with big.LITTLE since it has 4 ARM Cortex-A15 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and 4 (much slower but very efficient) Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.2 GHz.

Other specs of the phone include a 5.9-inch 1080p display, 2GB of RAM,  32GB of internal storage with miroSD expansion, 13MP rear, 2.1MP front cameras with the same OIS+ from the original LG G3. Despite its massive size, it’s only going to get a 3000 mAh removable battery so it’s really up to LG on how efficient NUCLUN really is.

Nothing was said on a global release so this is going to remain as a Korean exclusive for now.
