Android 7.0 Nougat Update Coming August 22nd According To TELUS

It’s that time of the year when the next version of Android is literally right around the corner. It’s been widely accepted that Android 7.0 Nougat is set to come out by the end of this month however we didn’t have a firm date until now.

According to TELUS’ software update schedule page, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have been listed to receive the Android Nougat update next Monday, August 22nd. Do note that this date could very well change but TELUS was correct when it stated the release date of Android 6.0 Marshmallow last year for “October 5th, 2024”.

Unfortunately, nothing was said whether or not the Nexus 6 will be getting the update that same day or if the Nexus 5 will be updated at all.
