It would appear that the opportunity to deride Sony and its apparent fixation with Android 1.6 has now passed. Rogers has initiated the deployment of the Android 2.1 update to X10 devices, including the X10 mini. The update will be delivered via over-the-air transmission, and users should anticipate receiving an alert to initiate the update within the next few days. However, it is likely that many users will manually check for the update until it is automatically installed.
This falls right in line with what we were told before. Here’s what’s new:

- Five wallpaper/standby screens
- Improved screen lock
- Timescape is updated and improved
Don’t forget to let everyone know how it went!
