Some More KitKat Screen Shots Leak Online

Well this is a fun way to kick off the week.  A handful of photos have shown up online courtesy of 9to5Google showing off some of the minor design changes we should expect in Android 4.4 aka KitKat.  The device pictured is a Nexus 4 and as you can see in the third photo, the device is running Android 4.4.

In addition to the change to grey icons in the notification bar (which was revealed in a previous leak), Android 4.4 will bring a slightly redesigned messaging and phone application.  The changes aren’t drastic by any means but they definitely fall in line with the design language that Google has been implementing across all their services.

You may also notice that the notification bar itself appears to change colour depending on the application.  Either that or the notification bar becomes transparent in applications in order to blend in more naturally with the current screen.

There’s still a lot we don’t know about Android 4.4 KitKat but all indications are pointing to an October release so hopefully we won’t have too long to wait!
