Motorola Milestone Receiving Minor Software Update From Telus
The Motorola Droid is arguably the Android phone that brought the most consumer attention to Google’s operating system thanks to the Verizon Droid Ad campaigns. Some time after, Canadians were introduced the Motorola Milestone on Telus which was the equivalent of the Droid here in Canada.
With still one of the best Android phones with a physical QWERTY keyboard, many customers on Telus have got this phone. If you are one of these people, there’s some good news. Telus is releasing a minor software update for the Motorola Milestone. While there aren’t any big features, this update seems to fix a lot of the problems people have complained to me about.
Here’s the full list:
• Improved Stability
• Alarm Improvements
• Music Player Functionality
• Audio Quality Enhancement
• PIN Lock Improvements
• Proximity Mode Enhancement
• “My Location” Improvements
These updates don’t always get to everyone immediately so keep checking that software update on your phone. You can also do the update manually from your computer with this right here. With customers in the U.S. getting 2.2 this week, I wonder how long it will be until Canadian customers are treated to a bit of Froyo. We’ll keep our eyes out, let us know how the update works out for you.
[Thanks, Randy]
