Android 4.3 Is Now Available And Will Begin Rolling Out Today

In addition to serving up the new Nexus 7 this morning, Google also introduced Android 4.3, the next iteration of the little green robot.  This latest version of Android is more of an incremental update rather than any sort of overhaul.  Some of the new additions to Android 4.3 include Bluetooth 4.0 LE, OpenGL ES 3.0, Dial pad Auto-Complete, and increased battery life.

Restricted profiles is also a new feature built into Android 4.3 and is similar to Windows 8 Kid’s mode.  This allows you to turn off certain apps in certain profiles and restrict certain functions in those profiles.  This is definitely a great addition as many parents are passing their devices off to kids to play games and such and may not want them accessing other apps, such as banking apps or shopping apps.

The best part about this is that you won’t have to wait long to get it if you have a Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, 7 or 10.  The update is supposed to start its roll out today so be sure to keep an eye on your notification bar for an update!  Let us know if you get it!
