No YouTube Music Key For Canada…At Least Not Right Now

Sad news guys.  It looks like we here in Canada are once again being snubbed.  The recently announced YouTube Music Key will not be available to Canadians when the beta program opens.  The beta program will initially open residents in the US, UK, Spain, Protugal, Italy, Ireland and Finland.

Even though we aren’t getting to take part in the beta program that doesn’t necessarily mean that we won’t eventually get YouTube Music Key.  My best guess (and hope) is that there are some licensing agreements that haven’t been worked out quite yet that are inhibiting the release of Google’s new initiative here in Canada.  Again that’s just my own speculation… hopefully we’re not just being completely overlooked…
