Winzip Joins the Android App Party

The favourite of most folk who’ve ever had to compress files together into a single file has been WinZip.  Not sure if it’s responsible for the etymology of us saying ‘zip the files’ or not, but it’s pretty much THE go to for most.  Even tho’ most OS’s now have something built in.

Heck, most of the file explorers and intranet browsers I showed you the other day have some support for .zip files already.

Well, the folk at WinZip didn’t want to be left out, and now they have an Android app!

WinZip for Android top features

• View supported file formats directly within the WinZip app. Easily open other popular formats with 3rd-party app integration.
• Open encrypted Zip files (including AES128 and AES256) to review sensitive material safely while on the go.
• Copy unzipped content to the clipboard to paste into an email or another application. Save the last extracted zip file to access at later time.

View and open popular files formats
