What Is the Canadian App? Reader Poll on Must-Have Android Apps
The idea behind the poll
The site set out to be more than a blog that happens to be in Canada. The goal was to become the blog about Android in Canada. A natural question followed: with such a huge number of apps, which one is the app for Canadians?
The starting suggestions
- Tim Hortons
- CBC News
- Canadian Tire
- How Canadian Are You, eh?
The post left the list open. An answer could be funny, patriotic, funnily patriotic or patriotically funny.
The author’s pick
The author’s own answer was probably the Tim Hortons app, along with making sure a few friends had the Hockey Night in Canada ringtone. Readers were asked to add suggestions in the comments so everyone could see the other answers, not in a form.
Status today
The poll is closed and the app count has grown a great deal since. Treat the list as a snapshot of an early moment in Android in Canada.
