Samsung S-Suggest App Leak for the Galaxy S III

By Android in Canada Editorial TeamUpdated

What S-Suggest does

S-Suggest is an app discovery tool. It suggests popular apps to its users, using likes and popularity as the guide. It was one of the pieces of software Samsung bundled with the Galaxy S III.

What the author reported

  • It worked on a Galaxy Note running Cyanogen 9, based on Android 4.0.4.
  • Root access was not required to install it.
  • A list of compatible phones and Android versions was not known at that point.

Trying a leaked APK

An APK is the installable package for an Android app. The author’s view was that installing it posed little risk, because an app that does not work can simply be uninstalled. Even so, apps from outside the official store should be treated carefully, and this page does not provide the file.

Status today

The leak is old, and the Galaxy S III is no longer supported. The original download is not offered here.
