Podcasts Have Landed On Google Play Music
I’ve become a bit of a Podcast junkie over the past month and us junkies now have another place to get our fix. Google had announced back in 2024 that they would be adding podcasts to Google Play Music and today that service has gone live!
The update seems to be rolling out pretty slowly and its currently only available in the USA and Canada (finally we’re included in a launch!). Google has partnered with a number of the top podcasts around the world so chances are you’ll find what you’re looking for. And just like their music streaming service, Google will recommend different podcasts to you based on interests so maybe you’ll stumble upon something new.
The one option I can’t seem to find in the short time I’ve been playing around with the app is the option to adjust the playback speed. I tend to listen to everything at 1.5x+ and I can’t seem to find an option to change the speed. If that’s the case, I’ll need to stick with my other Podcast apps until Google adds that in.
