My Top 5 Games for New Android Users
After sharing with you the five apps that any new Android user should have, here are the five best games on the Android Market (in my opinion). Now I’ve played a lot of games on my phone, so these guys are the ones that I really like right now. Now, I would’ve liked to give you a list of free games, but a lot of good games come with a certain price – which often isn’t a lot anyways.
5. Stair Dismount
Technically, Stair Dismount isn’t a gameper say. But it’s fun as hell. It uses a ragdoll physics engine, and you basically have to… well, hurt your character. You pick from one of the stickmen available, you stick a picture of your friend’s face on its head and you push it down a bunch on stairs. Or a springboard. Or whatever hurts the most. Pretty fun, isn’t it?
4. Cut the Rope
I won’t have much to say about this one; it’s one of the most popular games on the Android Market. For the ones living under a rock, this game consists of getting a piece of candy into a little creature’s mouth. But wait. There’s more. You go through hundreds of levels to do so, and with different obstacles – magic hats, hungry spiders, bubbles, balloons – you’ll soon be addicted to this game.
3. They Need To Be Fed
You’ll notice that, in this case, the developers probably had less budget than the ones that created Cut the Rope. But it doesn’t make it less fun. They Need To Be Fed is a platform game, but it’s different from anything I’ve seen before, and because of one element : gravity. In this game, each platform has its own gravity center. Try it yourself; you won’t be able to put your phone down.
2. Fieldrunners HD
I usually don’t like to pay more than $0.99 for an Android game. But this one is worth the three bucks. There’s a good reason why this game is on this list : it’s a Tower Defense game, and I LOVE Tower Defense games. This one is, in my opinion, the best TD game available on the Market (props to TapDefense though). Nothing new here : ennemies are trying to get on the other side of the field, and you gotta destroy them with your towers before they achieve their goal. Oh, and I’d love to see what’s your strategy for this game, feel free to post a screenshot of your field after a few levels in the comments below.
1. PES 2024
I know I just mentioned that I don’t like to pay more than a dollar for a game; you’ll probably wonder why I decided to pay three bucks for this one. Now hear me out. If you like sports games, then Pro Evolution Soccer 2024 is worth every penny. If you don’t like sports games, this one won’t make you change your opinion. Even on my PS3, I mostly play NHL, FIFA SOCCER and MADDEN NFL.
So then, if you do like sports games, here are the reasons why you should purchase PES 2024. First of all, the graphics are pretty good for an Android game. Second, the gameplay is almost the same as the one on PS3, minus the fancy tricks. Third, the different leagues, cups and teams are impressively numerous. On the downside, using your thumb for the virtual joystick hides the bottom left part of the screen. But you’ll soon get over it.
