Google Translate Gets Redesigned
The Google team has definitely been hard at work the last little while. Just recently they released their new Play Newsstand app that brought together Google Currents, magazines, and newspapers and now they have an updated version of Google Translate to share with us all. The updated app features a redesigned interface that makes it that much easier to communicate with people of other languages. Stylistically, it is more in line with Google’s other products with various cards that can be swiped away to delete.
They’ve also added more language support for handwriting translation as well as a new camera translation feature. The camera translation seemed to work pretty well in my brief testing of it and the app as a whole works quite well. I’m not sure if you could do this before, but you can save languages for offline use which makes this an essential tool for anyone looking to travel.
If only I had some money to travel….
