Today Google announced their new INDOOR feature with floor plans, etc…
To mirror that new update on the mobile device, they’ve updated the Maps app to 6.0.
Not only does this update allow you to look inside specific airports and stores, but it has the search bar back at the top with a pull down menu of the different places you could search [including ‘places’], much like the Google Search Bar.
The Places app is also redesigned to look a little ‘slimmer’ and more relevant to where you are at that moment. They’ve also made checking in a little bit easier — however, I still would like that places widget brought back.

If you have an Android phone, you should already have Maps pre-installed, so just hop on into the Market to get the update.
