What it is
The WCP-300 is a small round charging pad. It connects to power with a standard micro-USB cable. LG said its charging area is 1.7 times wider than that of its previous wireless charger, despite the smaller body. LG compared its size to a drink coaster.
How it works
The pad uses electromagnetic induction. It creates a magnetic field that produces a current in the phone, which charges the battery. It is Qi certified by the Wireless Power Consortium, so it works with any phone that supports the Qi standard.
