ICQ Moves to Android, Uh-Oh

Does anyone remember the chat messenger from way back in the day called ICQ? Sadly I also remember that sound of that high pitch “Uh-Oh” every time you got a message. When I remember ICQ from back in the late 90′s, it also brings me back the dialup 56K fax modem sounds when it took us 45+ seconds to connect to the internet, and just as long to reconnect when disconnected. I know there is some young guy wondering what the heck I’m talking about lol.

Anyways back to business.

ICQ was a very popular chat messenger back in the late 90′s for your PC that had millions of users. It was a ground breaking service, as it was one of the first peer-to-peer messengers, but was tossed aside years later for MSN messenger and other messengers when ICQ became virus ridden.

Anyways, years later ICQ makes a comeback, this time to the Android platform. Whether you’re a loyal fan that never left ICQ, or you’re looking to try out a new messenger, ICQ is now available to you.

You can head down to their mobile page for downloads and more info, or you can download it straight from the Google Play Store.
