Duck Hunt Meets VR
Virtual Reality has really taken off this past year with every major manufacturer from Samsung, to Apple, to Google working on (or allegedly working on) devices and various developers working on new games and applications. Well here’s a pretty sweet game 21 year old New Jersey Institute of Technology student Joseph Delgado put together.
Now if you grew up in the NES era, you’ll immediately recognize the happy little rover above. If you have no idea what we’re talking about, you missed out on a great time in gaming. Anyway, Delgado recreated Nintendo’s iconic Duck Hunt game but took it to the next level with this 360 degree virtual reality version. Using an Oculus Rift DK2 and Razer’s Hydra motion controller, Delgado got to shooting down 8-bit birds, orange gun in tow and all!
It’s really an awesome achievement and gives us yet another glimpse as to what the VR world has to bring!
