Today was a full day in San Francisco as Google unveiled a lot of interesting services and hardware for our appraisal. Chromecast and the new Nexus 7 were the hardware announcements for the day and both of them feature a unique improvement in Netflix experience.

Chromecast is a dongle that connects your TV to the cloud and helps you stream media from your devices to the TV. Netflix will be immediately available on Chromecast giving you an easy was to stream Netflix content directly for your TV, from your iOS device, Android device or even laptop. This way you’ll get a great TV experience effortlessly. Unfortunately it won’t be available in Canada at launch.

Another new feature announced with the launch of the new Nexus 7 is that the Android Netflix app now supports 1080p HD video. Google’s Nexus 7 with its 1920×1200 screen on Android 4.3 is the only device to support this feature, atleast for now, but more phones and tablets will support it in the near future, allowing Netflix users to enjoy HD quality content.

If you’re a Netflix user and were expecting this, leave your excitement on the comment section below. If instead you’re not a Netflix member, but this new feature just might change your mind, then we would also love to hear about it.
