Motorola Rumoured To Be Working On Potential 5.9-Inch Nexus Phone

Ever since Google’s original purchase of Motorola Mobility, many have wondered if a Motorola-built Nexus device would ever come into existance. Sure, there’s the Google Play Edition of the Moto G which is the closest it’s ever gotten, but that’s really not the point. Nexus devices are the result of Google and the chosen OEM working together to create a device that is meant to showcase the best of Android. And this year, it may just be Motorola’s turn.

According to Android Police, they have received information regarding a current Motorola device in development with codename “Shamu”. The codename itself is sort of a hint that this may in fact be a Nexus. Specs for the phone should be taken with a grain of salt, but what was said was that the phone will apparently come with a massive 5.9-inch display and a figerprint sensor.

The release date is also slated for sometime in November, just like previous Nexus releases.

This is going to be an interesting year for sure.
