Google Officially Launches The Nexus One
Today, Google held an Android Press Event at its California HQ which debuted the new Nexus One.
The Nexus One is the newest Android-powered mobile device running Android 2.1. As expected, the device comes will all of the great Google Mobile apps such as Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk, Maps Navigation and Google Voice!
Under the hood, The Nexus One delivers a fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which essentially makes the Nexus One a powerhouse for a mobile device. But the features don’t stop there.
The Nexus One also includes new features like Live Wallpaper and a voice-enabled keyboard for any text field! This allows users to speak to their device and the feature does the text messaging, email, and search querying!
New customizable home screens, five now, allow users to add widgets, such as YouTube videos, right to the home screens for quick and easy access. Users can also check out Picasa Web Albums with the 3D interface of the new Cooliris Gallery application.
The display of the Nexus One is a large 3.7″ AMOLED display, which makes videos, apps, and photos large, clear, and sharp.
