Cerberus Anti Theft App Now Free For A Day!
Losing your phone or getting it stolen can be one of the worst things that can happen to you in today’s mobile-dependent society.
Luckily, Google has a service that lets you Ring, Lock and Erase a connected Android device, and in the case the device becomes lost or stolen, this can come in very handy. But what if you wanted something more than that? Something with more than just three measly options? Look no further because Cerberus is the answer.
This app has been in existence long before Android Device Manager and yet includes much more features that aid you into finding a lost device. It even blows Apple’s Find My iPhone feature out of the water.
Here’s a list of some features that I find the most useful (keep in mind these only work via WiFi or a data connection):
- Capture video and photos from cameras and email them on demand or on incorrect pin entry
- Wipe device
- Wipe SD
- Call/SMS phone
- Get Call and SMS log
- Record audio
- Track phone’s location via GPS
- Send an alert with a message
It also includes more features for rooted users like surviving a factory reset and hiding the app icon in the app drawer. The app itself is normally paid but since it’s Cerberus’ 3rd birthday today, the developers are giving out free licenses for a limited time. You can download the app for yourself here.
The free license ends a day from now on April 26th at 6:00AM GMT (1:00AM EST or April 25th at 10:00pm PST) so you better be quick.
