With the onset of 2-Year contracts carriers have found other ways to ensure they maximize their profits. Not only have the prices of phones has gone up a little bit (generally $20-$30) but monthly plan prices have also risen. I recently switched carriers and was lucky to make the switch just days before Telus changed up their pricing. Had I been under their new plan system, I would have had to pay well over $1000 more over a 2-Year period for a comparable plan (with 2GB of less data).
In the midst of all these price hikes, residents of Saskatchewan and Manitoba are being treated by Koodo to a pretty darn good plan. Koodo is currently offering Saskatchewanians and Manitobans Unlimited Nationwide Minutes, Unlimited Text, Picture and Video Messaging, Caller ID, Voicemail, and 5GB of Data for just $55! Not too shabby right?
However, there is one little trade off with joining Koodo. If you don’t already have a device, you’ll be paying a good deal more for it (more or less full price) unless you want to sign into one of their Tabs which will increase your bill by $5-$10. Nevertheless, it’s still a pretty good deal if you can get a hold of it!
