ASUS Qube Has An Official US Release Date

In my opinion, Google TV still has a ways to go, especially here in Canada.  For those of us in the Great White North, the content we have available to us is pretty limited but perhaps as more and more of these set top boxes become available those controlling the content will open things up a little bit more.

The next Google TV device that will be making its way to market is the ASUS Qube and with it’s low price point it could definitely help out the cause.  The device will be launching in the US on April 23 for just $130.  There’s not wider release at the moment but hopefully it’ll make its way to Canada in the coming month.

The Qube will run V3 of Google TV with Asus’ own custom UI over top of it.  It’s an interesting looking UI but I’d have to try it first hand to determine whether or not I like it.  I have to say though I’m pretty swayed by the design as it reminds me so much of the Cube from Transformers, but that’s just the nerd inside of me wanting to buy buy buy!
