I’m at Samsung’s launch event for the S4 in Vancouver, featuring a performance by Stars.
I’ll be posting pics and videos from the party so keep checking back for my updates.
4:55pm – We enter in five minutes. Lots of people waiting to get in. Too bad I don’t have to wait in line with the common folk. It’s all about the VIP when you mention Android in Canada. Nice.
5:16pm – Just got in. Lots of Vancouver’s “who’s-who” tonight. All I can say about this event is swanky. Samsung definitely spent some money for this launch.
5:43pm – Place is filling up.
6:04 pm – Here we go.
6:20pm – I wonder which phone the drummer has.
6:28pm – Stars are finishing their first set. Feist is doing some sort of live Toronto / Montreal / Vancouver simulcast cast soon.
6:45pm – Samsung plays a video of Feist singing some songs which they say is live, but who’s to say it’s not just a recorded video? Sorry about the quality. Blame the Nexus 4 camera.
7pm – Stars return for set #2.
7:30pm – And that’s it. In essence, it was a concert with a bunch of people walking around showing you the S4. I didn’t think it was necessary for me to discuss the phone itself as we’ve been pretty much all over the device for the past few months here at AiC.
