Holiday Android Poll Results: How Readers Dressed Up Their Phones
Why ask the question
Android is an open platform, so it is meant to be altered and customized. The poll set out to see how people decorated their phones for the holidays.
How the vote went
Until the day before the results, the author was ready to call the readers a bunch of Grinches, because not changing anything was the leading answer. A late push put wallpaper changers in front. The “other” response read “I change everything”. One reader mentioned Google Reader, but that was part of a bah humbug answer, so it was unclear how it fit.
Apps readers suggested
- Christmas ringtone
- Christmas HD
- Zedge
- Go Launcher EX
- Go SMS Pro
- Snowflakes
The author noted that several apps shared the same names in the store, so the list is only a rough guide to what readers meant.
Status today
The poll is a snapshot of a past holiday season. Some of those apps may have changed or disappeared since, so check the current store before installing anything.
