The upcoming Kindle Fire HD should be revealed quite soon, and as it gets closer leaks of vital information start coming in. We already got an idea of the spec sheet of the upcoming tablet from Amazon, but today we have some pictures that show a totally new design language.

The pictures you’ll see below (and on top) feature the 7-inch model, but the 8.9-inch version will look exactly the same. Amazon has redesigned the tablets, changing speaker and button placement in the process.

Both the 7-inch and 8.9-inch models will be quite the powerful, featuring a 1920×1200 and 2560×1600 display, respectively. Powering both devices will be a 2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800, backed up by 2GB of RAM. Storage-wise you’ll be able to choose between the usual 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage. The tablets will be running a forked version of Android 4.2.2, similar to what was found in the first generation of Amazon tablets.

You can catch the pictures below and decide if the new design works for you, or if Amazon should’ve stick with the previous design language. Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
