The next Nexus 7 will hopefully be out sometime in July and will hopefully sell at the same low cost as the original.  Along with an updated processor (expected to be made by Qualcomm), one of the changes that everyone expects with the second iteration of the Nexus 7 is a higher res display that, according to CNET, will come in at 1920×1200.

This information was originally passed on to CNET by IHS who stated that Japan Display Inc. and AUO will be producing the displays while Quanta puts together the final product.  With a 1920×1200 resolution, the PPI on this little 7 incher will come in at an amazing 323ppi versus 216ppi of the original.

My cracked screen Nexus 7 is becoming a little bit more finicky recently and not responding to touch in several spots so I’m hoping this comes out sooner rather than later so that I can put the other guy to bed.  Who else is planning to buy one of these when they come out?
