Price and positioning
The Nexus 7 was selling for roughly $260 to $310 in the market the post discussed, and the MeMO Pad undercut it at $149. The specifications were not top of the class, but the price was expected to carry the sale.
Software and extras
The tablet has full Google Play support. Asus added SuperNote Lite, BuddyBuzz, MyPainter and its own online storage with 5 GB free, plus a studio app and an online office app. It also has SonicMaster and MaxxAudio for sound, a non-slip diamond-patterned finish, wide viewing angles and a brightness of 350 nits. It is a tablet only and has no keyboard dock, unlike the Transformer Pad line.
Availability
Asus said it would arrive that month in selected markets through authorized resellers. It did not say which markets, and Canadian availability was not confirmed.
