@evleaks has struck again, this time bringing us some tasty details regarding Google’s upcoming smartwatch. According to the tweet, the smartwatch (which will be made by LG) will feature a 1.65″ IPS LCD with 280×280 resolution. Internally, it will come with 512MB of RAM (enough for Android 4.4!), and 4GB of internal storage. Details on the processor have not yet been made available.
While the specs aren’t anywhere near mind blowing, I don’t think we should expect a watch to carry flagship phone internals. Plus, specs are only half the story as we all know. If Google/LG can nail the software side of things, nobody will really care what type of processor and how much memory there is. If the user experience is done well, then the device is a success.
In terms of a release, expectations are that Google will showcase the device at Google I/O in June. As always, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!
