We’ve got some smart watch news to pass to all you wearable junkies out there! It would appear that we have a release date and price for LG’s upcoming Android Wear powered watch, the G Watch. LG has confirmed with Pocket-Lint that the device will release before July and should carry a price tag of £180 in the UK. The price translates to roughly $330 CAD but, as we’ve mentioned before, converted prices based on the exchange rate are often higher than the actual price.
While the watch in the picture is said to be the final version of the prototype, the device itself was not working so unfortunately we don’t get to see the device in action at all. LG did let Pocket-Lint know that the watch band would be interchangeable so buyers will be able to express their unique style with different coloured bands.
Although this price and release date is specific for the UK, I imagine a global launch will follow shortly after, if not at the exact same time. We’ll be sure to update you guys as we hear more about these new Android Wear devices.
