The Galaxy S5 is due to launch in April but the price is still a bit of a mystery. Well today we may have our first suggested pricing to share with you guys. According to an e-mail from Telus sent to MobileSyrup, the suggested 2-year term price for the Samsung Galaxy S5 is going to be $249. The no term price was not given but I’m expecting it to be in the $700 range.
Telus does note in their e-mail that “these prices may change,” so it seems that this isn’t set in stone quite yet. The pricing is pretty normal for a flagship device but if you may recall, there were rumours that Samsung might try to undercut the competition and price the S5 lower than the traditional flagship device.
Obviously that was just a rumour and given this pricing, that story is and will remain nothing but a rumour. Of course things can change and I’m sure all of you out there would have no problem with Samsung lowering the prices a little bit. We’ll be sure to keep you posted as we near the official launch.
