In addition to the first device in the Z4 family, the Z4 Tablet, Sony also introduced a smartphone at MWC, the Xperia M4 Aqua. The M4 isn’t anywhere near flagship calibre in terms of the specs but it’s a pretty decent nonetheless for a mid-ranger. Here’s the list:
- 5″ 720p Display
- Snapdragon 615 Octocore Processor
- 2GB RAM
- 8GB /16GB Internal Storage
- microSD Card Slot
- 13MP Camera
- 5MP Front Facing Camera
- 2400 mAh Battery
- IP65 and IP68 Water and Dust Rating
Like most Sony devices these days, the M4 Aqua is water and dust resistant. Sony also claims that you’ll get 2-days worth of battery life with this guy and while that may seem a little unbelievable, Sony has proven time and time again that they know how to do battery management right.
Now the big question that we ask with any newly released device is “will Canada get it?” Well we’re happy to report that YES, Sony will bring this mid ranger to Canada. Although they haven’t provided a concrete release date, the phone is expected to land in spring of this year. Pricing and carrier availability isn’t available at this time but when we know more we’ll let you know!
