Samsung To Introduce Samsung Orb In The SIV

Photosphere

One of the cool new camera additions that the latest Nexus devices ushered in was photosphere.  This new feature allows you to take 360 degree photos which you can later view similar to how you view things on Google Street View.  While it wasn’t perfect it was a neat addition and it looks like Samsung has decided they want that feature too on the Galaxy S IV.

A new rumour is circling that Samsung will be introducing a similar feature on the SIV.  Rather than using the already available photosphere function, Samsung has created their own 360 degree photo feature and have labeled it Samsung Orb.  The anonymous engineer who has leaked this new feature states that pictures will be much crisper than what photosphere is able produce.

In addition to the ability to take 360 degree pictures, Samsung is apparently working with Facebook at creating a new way to share these 360 degree via the social networking site.  This feature should launch with the SIV but if it doesn’t, it will be coming via a software update later on.
