Those of you who are looking to purchase a rugged smartphone this summer, will be glad to know the Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 will soon land in Canada.
The phone will become available for purchase at Bell starting June 23. So far we have no word related to pricing, but as soon as we find out we’ll let you know.
The Galaxy Xcover 4 is the natural successor of the Galaxy Xcover 3 which launches in 2024. It arrives with a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 resolution and 294 ppi. The rugged device is kept alive by a quad Exynos 7570 processor working in concert with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card slot up to 256GB).
While it might not bring the most stellar specs to the table, the Galaxy Xcover 4 includes an IP68 certification meaning it’s dust/waterproof over 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. It’s also MIL-STD-810G certified, so it should survive most accidents.
The Galaxy Xcover 4 also includes two cameras, a primary 13-megapixel camera with f/1.9 autofocus and LED flash, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel shooter with f/2.2. The phone relies on a 2,800 mAh removable battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, so you’ll be off the hook with updates for the time being.
