Samsung revealed their latest mobile display technology at the Consumer Electronics Show this past weekend in Las Vegas. The display features a 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 440ppi pixel density, and measures in at 4.99 inches.

The Korean tech giant is expected to begin featuring the display technology in their devices released in the first quarter of 2024, so one would assume the hotly-anticipated S4 will be released sooner rather than later if it is to include Samsung’s full high definition displays.

Samsung also confirmed to the public that devices in 2024 will sport their Exynos 5 Octa 8-Core processor. The processor is believed to give smartphone and tablet users the ability to experience true multi-tasking by switching between an HD video, playing a graphics-intensive game, or checking the latest sports scores.

As explained by one Samsung executive, the brand new Exynos processor “has twice the graphics performance of anything that is currently available on the market, but it is also very frugal, [with] up to 70 percent power savings. It uses Cortex-A7 cores for the mundane tasks, and Cortex-A15 ones for the more sophisticated ones.”

So, if a full HD display and an 8-core processor end up making their way into the S4, it looks like Samsung is going to have a phenomenal flagship device in 2024.
