Samsung Galaxy Note8 Tipped to Feature Dual-Camera with 3x Zoom

We’re all eagerly awaiting the Samsung Galaxy Note8 and in recent days the Korean tech giant itself has confirmed the phone will be introduced during an Unpacked event to be held in New York on August 23.

We already know the phone will come with a dual-camera setup and this week more information on this particular aspect was revealed by reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities.

Famous for his iPhone predictions, Kuo has also taken an interest in Samsung products, noting the Galaxy Note8’s main dual camera will feature a telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The camera module – which was reportedly build by the Korean tech giant itself – will feature a 13-megapixel sensor for wide-angle cam and a 12-megapixel sensor for telephoto. Both will include optical image stabilization.

If the rumours we’ve been hearing so far are correct, the Galaxy Note8 should arrive with a 6.3-inch Infinity Display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio and a Snapdragon 835 processor under the hood (or Exynos 8895 depending on the market).

It also seems the Galaxy Note8 will be Samsung’s most expensive phone to date coming with a price-tag exceeding $1,000 CAD. Given last year’s fiasco with the Galaxy Note7, Samsung seems pretty confident the Galaxy Note8 won’t be plagued by any similar issues and is betting big on the upcoming flagship.

What do you think? Would you spend $1,000+ on the Galaxy Note8?
