Now here’s another interesting story to keep your Monday rolling. According to a Korean report, Samsung could be announcing their first curved display device as soon as this week, likely beating LG to the table. The device is tentatively being referred to as the Galaxy Round (terrible name in my opinion…sounds like an obese phone) and may come with Note 3 like specs.
The fact that the Round is supposed to have Note 3 like specs may be the reason that there were so many rumours about a Note 3 utilizing the flexible display. However, this device is not expected to offer the S-Pen meaning that it won’t be a Note device.
Of course, this story should still remain in the rumour category for now but there have have been a lot of reports popping up lately regarding LG and Samsung creating curved display smartphones. A imminent announcement from either company wouldn’t surprise me but we’ll hold off for that announcement before confirming anything.
