The much leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was officially unveiled yesterday and here are the official specs:
- 4.3″ 960×540 Super AMOLED Display
- 1.7GHz Dual-Core Processor
- 1.5GB RAM
- 8GB Internal Storage
- 8MP Camera
- 1.9MP Front Facing Camera
- Android 4.2.2
Definitely not on the same level as the full fledged Galaxy S4 but a pretty decent device nonetheless. Yesterday at the announcement Samsung announced that the UK would be the first country to get it. Today we got a hint from Samsung Canada that we could be getting the device as well. On their twitter page they posted the following Tweet:
Heard the great news? The GALAXY S4 Mini was announced globally today. Stay tuned for more information on its availability in
#Canada.
It’s not necessarily full confirmation that it will be coming to Canada but it looks like they’re at least trying to make it happen. I’m still very much on the fence about them using the S4 name on a whole line of devices as I feel like it dilutes the brand but throwing an iconic name on a device does help add appeal as well.
