Rogers LTE Network Expands, Now covers St. John’s
Rogers has expanded their LTE network once again, now covering St. John’s.
The LTE network has slowly been creeping across the map starting at key points, it’s only a matter of time before LTE becomes wide spread across Canada. Many believe it’s to be expected by the end of 2024.
The map shows Purple as LTE coverage and Red as HSPA+ coverage.
If you haven’t had the chance to try the new LTE network, you are seriously missing out. The actual speeds tested by myself on Speedtest.net ranged from 12 Mbps to 44 Mbps. On a full 5 bars of LTE reception, I was getting faster speeds than my Shaw cable high speed internet at home. Imagine if you had a great data plan to go with that, tethering to your laptop would be unlimited happiness.
Note: In order to use the LTE network, you’ll need to have a LTE enabled device and LTE sim card, you also must subscribe to a LTE Data plan which costs a little extra. For more details hit up your local Rogers store, or check them out online at www.Rogers.com
