Oppo To Release N-Lens N1 Camera Phone [PICS]
The Chinese smartphone maker Oppo isn’t particularly well-known in the western world, but we had already heard of it when they released the worlds slimmest smartphone (at least it was for a while) and many other dazzling smartphones that sadly never seem to make it this side of the Pacific. Today we bring you news from the Oppo N-Lens N1 smartphone.
While many may not have heard of this device, the prototype device being developed in China could turn out to be the next big revolution in camera phones. Details have been scarce about this device and they continue to be so, nonetheless, we now have a render of the device showing the back camera lens and a powerful Xenon flash.
The device is said to feature a 13MP camera, like many other smartphones out there, but the Oppo N1 will be a camera centric device that was improved promising an excellent picture quality. The smartphone will have a dedicated “Owl” image chip that will contribute to excellent low-light shots.
The Oppo N-Lens N1 will of course run on Android, but there aren’t any more details on the innards of the device. The device is expected to be priced at around $480 off contract, which, for the Chinese market is a hefty price, but understandable considering the promised camera performance and brand recognition Oppo has in China and a bit around the world.
Looks like Nokia and Samsung won’t be the only ones on the camera phone business and it will be great to see more OEM’s coming up with exciting camera phones. Don’t forget to leave your opinion below.
