Good news to all you potential Nexus 6 buyers out there! There are a couple of pretty important features that Google didn’t mention regarding their new flagship phone but Motorola was quick to pick up the ball. First off, the Nexus 6 will indeed feature Qi Wireless Charging. This isn’t too much of a surprise as various other Nexus devices also feature this very handy feature.
The second thing that Google failed to mention is that the Nexus 6 will be water resistant! Now it’s important to note that water resistant isn’t quite the same as waterproof. The Nexus 6 doesn’t have any sort of IP water/dust proof rating but instead it’s likely coated internally like other Motorola devices. That means that minor spills and rain shouldn’t damage your phone but you shouldn’t go dunking it or submerging it in any sort of liquid.
It’s kind of odd that Google didn’t highlight these aspects as they are definitely selling points of the device. Nevertheless, now we know and maybe that super high price tag is a tiny tiny bit more justified…. or not.
