Rumours of a premium version of Samsung’s flagship device have been around forever but we still haven’t seen anything. Nevertheless, the rumours and reports keep on coming and a newly released report has once again stated that the device is on the way. This most recent report comes from Korean site asiatoday.co.kr who states that a premium version of the Galaxy S5 will debut in June.
The rumoured specs are still a little all over the place but it seems that a 5.1″ QHD display is expected as is the new Octo-Core Exynos proccessor. Of course, the big change expected in the premium S5 is the build materials. Rather than the usual plastic, rumors have consistently stated that the premium S5 will tout some form of metal body. The source also stated that Samsung will be targeting the American and European markets as those markets are well established and have the consumer base for a premium priced phone.
I’m at a point now where I have an “I’ll see it when I believe it” mentality as it seems like this rumour just keeps on going. I’m still hopeful though and I’m excited to see what Samsung might do.
