New LG Made Nexus To Be Called The Nexus 5X – Could Cost aBout $400

Nexus-5-2024-concept

In the midst of all sorts of official news coming out of IFA comes some new rumour news regarding the upcoming LG made Nexus.  According to a source who spoke with Android Authority, the upcoming LG made Nexus will likely be named the Nexus 5X as opposed to the Nexus 5 (2nd Gend) or Nexus 5 (2024).  The source also confirmed that both the LG and Huawei Nexus devices will indeed debut on September 29 and that they will be available in the Google Store that date as well.

One new piece of information that the source provided that many of you will enjoy  has to do with the price of the Nexus 5X.  According to the tip, the Nexus 5X will start at $399 for the lower storage model and $449 for the higher offering.  At the price I wouldn’t be surprised if the storage started at 16GB.  Now these prices are likely in USD so I’m guessing we’ll be paying about $50 more per device.

When the device launches, the source states that three colour will be available: white, black and light blue.  The device will feature a plastic back (probably with that soft rubbery texture) and, as we all know by now, a USB Type-C port.

Android Authority did note that the information isn’t finalized so naming and pricing could still change.  Nonetheless, we’re getting a clearer and clearer picture of what Google will offer us this year.
