Meet The New Moto E

It’s seems that Motorola didn’t want to share the spotlight with MWC as they announced their new budget device today, the second generation Moto E.  What does the new Moto E bring to the table?  Lets take a look at the specs:

  • 4.5″ qHD (960×540) Display
  • 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB Internal Storage
  • microSD Card Slot
  • 5MP CAmera
  • VGA Front Facing Camera
  • 2390 mAh Battery
  • 4G LTE Connectivity
  • Android 5.0.2

While these aren’t bleeding edge specs by any means, they are pretty decent and as as we saw the the first generation Moto E, Motorola doesn’t need bleeding edge hardware to produce a fast, fluid and capable phone.  Of course, the big selling point of the Moto E is not specs but price and according to our contact, the Moto E (Second Generation) is going to come at a very wallet friendly $150 outright!  Koodo, Telus and Videotron will all be adding the device to their line up next month while Chatr, WIND, and MTS will pick up the device some time in the Spring.

It’ll definitely be worth a look if you want a solid phone on the cheap!
