LG L-Series Has Broken The 10 Million Mark

LG really is making its way back into the Android scene.  As we all know they have two of the top phones on the market currently in the Nexus 4 and the Optimus G.  But their line up from last year has also been doing really well according to their latest announcement.  Apparently, the L-Series of phones which include the L3, L5, L7, and L9 have combined to reached the 10 million sales number.

Now I’m no analyst but that’s a whole lot of phones to sell.  The L-Series has been fairly readily available in Canada with the exception of the L9.  The devices ranged from entry level to mid level and have been priced well to sell well.  I’ve had some brief time with the L3 and L5 and they are indeed decent little devices.  No, they’re not on the level of the Optimus G but for the price you pay they’re good devices.

Included in this announcement was an interesting little comment from the head honcho, President and CEO of LG Mobile, Dr. Jong-seok Park.  He says “This milestone demonstrates the importance of delivering smartphones with stylish design, comparative size of display and enhanced UX features…Whereas other manufacturers are putting all their eggs into a one-size-fits-all phone, our strategy is to develop mobile products for all types of customers according to their individual needs and lifestyles.”

Now who could he be talking about… hmmm…

With rumours of LG already working on the Optimus G2, it seems like these numbers are going to continue to grow in the coming years.
