LG G4 Now Official: Snapdragon 808 And 3000 mAh Removable Battery
First off, the phone’s most unique feature is its brand new 5.5-inch QHD IPS display, and the variety of removable rear covers which come in many different colors and types like genuine leather, ceramic, and metallic colours. Just like the leaked press renders, the phone does in fact have a slight curve, similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus. As for the bezels, they are kept to a minimum, but are slightly larger than the G2 and the G3. LG’s UX 4.0 UI is also running on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop.
As for the processor and battery, the phone comes with the Snapdragon 808 SoC, rather than the 810 which might actually seem like a downgrade to some, but because of the heat and power consumption issues with the Snapdragon 810, the 808 is the next best thing. Embedded in the SoC is 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and a removable 3000 mAh battery.
According to MobileSyrup, LG has stated that they will bring this to Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Videotron and WIND Mobile in Canada. Pricing has yet to be announced but expect it to be anywhere from $649 to $749.
