Galaxy S6 Plus (AKA Project Zero 2 AKA Note Edge 2) To Launch In The Coming Weeks

S6 Edge

Interesting development out of the Samsung camp today!  You may recall a couple of weeks back that a story broke claiming that the next generation Note Edge wasn’t going to be an Note device at all.  Rather, Samsung would be ditching the Note Edge series in favour of a creating larger S6 Edge-like device.  Well a new report today out of Sam Mobile has once again affirmed that claim and this time around they also have a possible launch date for the new device!

According to Sam Mobile, the device will launch as the Galaxy S6 Plus and it will début in the coming weeks!  This is contrary to previous speculation that it would launch alongside the Note 5 at IFA later in the year.  In terms of specs, the device is expected to feature a 5.4″-5.5″ Super AMOLED dual-edged display (like the S6 Edge), a Snapdragon 808 processor, 32GB of internal storage, 16MP camera and 5 MP front facing camera.

What do you guys think?  Is Samsung on the right track by creating a larger S6 Edge?  Or will this plan backfire and upset Note Edge fans?
