Intel Filled Jelly Bean Devices On Their Way?

For quite some time now, Intel has been trying to push its way into the mobile device market.  A market where majority of the processor chips used in mobile device come from NVIDIA, Qualcomm, and even TI.  Despite the current dominance, things could change, possibly with the help of Google.

Suzy Greenberg, a company spokesman said this in an e-mail:

“Intel continues to work closely with Google to enable future versions of Android, including Jelly Bean, on our family of low power Atom processors”

To my knowledge, we have yet to seen any Intel powered devices here in Canada.  Around the world there have been a few devices released such as the Xolo X900 and the Orange San Diego.  There’s also noise about some devices coming in the future out of Motorola camp.

Even though we I haven’t had a chance to really see how these Intel powered devices hold up against some of our more common devices powered by the likes of Qualcomm, NVIDIA, or Samsung, I’m glad to see that they are making an effort to get the latest version of Jelly Bean running on their chips.  Hopefully we’ll actually be able to get a hold of some of these devices in the future so we can see for ourselves what Intel is all about.
